Life Story for
Anna Cassone (DeLucia)
Cassone, Anna, of Brewster, NY, formerly of Scarsdale, NY died at her home on Wednesday May 10, 2017. She was 90 years old.
Anna was born on November 20, 1926 in New York City, NY, daughter to the late Costantino and Lucy (Caruso) DeLucia.
On October 1, 1950 she married Pasquale J. Cassone in Mt. Vernon, NY. Together Mr. and Mrs. Cassone moved from Scarsdale, NY to Brewster, NY to be closer to family in 2005. Mr. Cassone predeceased his wife in 2005.
While living in Scarsdale, Anna was an active parishioner at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. She enjoyed reading and doing puzzles and going to the movies. Her family was very important to her especially her grandchildren.
Anna is survived by her 5 children; Frances and her husband Allan Ruhl of Orlando, FL, Luann and her husband Nick Antonelli of Danbury, CT, Frank and his wife Vilma of Newtown, CT, Patricia and her husband Ed Ifkovits of New Fairfield, CT and Donna Assumma of Dobbs Ferry, NY, her 9 grandchildren; Jessica Cassone, Paul Carafiello, Michelle Baird, Deanna Coopersmith-Marquez, Thomas Ifkovits, Nicole Ifkovits, Brian Ifkovits, Jenna Assumma and Joli Assumma and her 6 great-grandchildren; Cameron, Tristan, Tyler, Olivia, Taylor and Connor. She was predeceased by her sister Carmela Friberg.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on May 16, 2017 at 10am at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, Brewster, NY. Interment will follow at Milltown Rural Cemetery, Brewster, NY. Friends and family may call the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY on Monday May 15, 2017 from 4pm-8pm.
