Life Story for Anne D. Natell

Anne DeSerio Natell, a 54 year resident of Brewster, NY, died Monday May 23, 2016 at Putnam Ridge Nursing Home. She was 93 years old.

Mrs. Natell was born July 9, 1922 in Bronx, NY, daughter to the late Marcus and Anna (DeMartino) DeSerio. Anne graduated from Evander Childs High School, Bronx, NY.

On August 25, 1943 she married the love of her life Raymond George Natell in the Bronx, NY. He predeceased her after 66 years of marriage on December 24, 2009.

Mrs. Natell was a social worker with the NYS department of Social Services for over 20 years before retiring. She was a member of CSEA, the Italian Ladies Society of Brewster, The Southeast Seniors and the Brewster Belles Red Hat Society. She also volunteered at the Eagle Eye Thrift Shop in Brewster and was a retired senior’s volunteer program Putnam Hospital Center Auxiliary.

Anne is survived by her children; Michele (John) Scott of Wingdale, NY, JoAnn (Jon) Maguire of Charlestown, RI, Raymond (Loretta) Natell of Pearl River, NY and Brian (Mary) Natell of Yorktown Heights, NY, her sister Julia Pera of North Salem, NY, 5 grandchildren; Sandra, Sean, Maggie, Andrew and Marissa and 3 great grandchildren; Lindsay, Jake and Aiden.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 7:30 PM at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY. Family will receive friends from 4pm until the start of the service. A private cremation will take place.
