Life Story for Michael T. Boyd

Michael T. Boyd, of Danbury, CT, died with his wife by his side on July 31, 2017. He was 59 years old.

Michael was born on May 11, 1958 in Gettysburg, PA, son to Robert Boyd and Lavonne “Bonnie” (Myers) Boyd of Maryland. He was a Wooten High School graduate and continued his education at Averett College to receive his Bachelor’s degree. Years later he continued his education at the Baptist Theological Seminary in Richmond, VA to receive his Masters of Divinity degree as he sought to share the Good News of Christ through words and actions.

On July 21, 2007 he married Jennifer E. Dyer in Cobleskill, NY. They moved to Danbury, CT in 2010. Michael had many hobbies which included, horseback riding, working with wood, rebuilding motorcycles and photography. Photography became more than a hobby to him when he started to sell some of his artwork.

Mr. Boyd is not only survived by his wife, Jennifer and his parents, Robert and Lavonne, but also his siblings; Brian Boyd, Mark (Lisa) Boyd, Lisa (Mike) Rice and Amanda (Ken)George, his sister in law, Nancy Boyd, many nieces and nephews and one great nephew. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Boyd.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 5, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2103 Route 6, Brewster, NY at 11am. Memorial visitation will be on Friday August 4th at the church in the fellowship Hall from 7pm-9pm.

In lieu of flower, contributions in memory of Michael may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, As Michael was blessed by an additional 22 years of life, please consider signing up to be an organ donor.
