Obituary

Antoinette M. Carollo, of Brewster, NY, died on Wednesday May 13, 2020 at Hartford Hospital. She was 85 years old.

Born on May 15, 1934 in Ossining, NY daughter to the late Silverio and Teresa (Maratzo) Sandolo. She was a high school graduate from Ossining High School.

Antoinette married James B. Carollo, Jr on September 26, 1954 in at St. Ann’s Church in Ossining, NY. Antoinette moved to Brewster, NY 63 years ago to raise her family. James predeceased his wife after 51 years of marriage on February 17, 2006.

Mrs. Carollo was a Customer Service Manager with Barden Corp. in Danbury, CT for over 30 years before retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Italian American Club, the Southeast Seniors, and the St. Lawrence Seniors. She was a big supporter of the Brewster Fire Department. Antoinette was an avid reader, she enjoyed traveling and dining out locally with family and friends, playing cards and bit of gambling at the casino. She was well known for her luck in winning.

Antionette is survived loving children; Deborah Pelley of Griswold, CT, James B. Carollo III of Duanesburg, NY and Steven D. Carollo of Modena, NY, her five grandchildren; Jennifer, Amy, Danielle, Stephanie , Elliott and her brother; Augustine Sandola of Hyde Park, NY. She was predeceased by her sister Lucy Sandolo.

A private family burial will be held at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery on Saturday. Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY assisted the family with arrangements. Please visit www.beecherfuneralhome.com to leave condolences for the family.

My thoughts and prayers are with Toni and her family as the celebrate a long life well lived. I am assembling a Carollo Family Tree if any of the children are interested. Please contact me. Again, my sincere thoughts on Toni's passing.
