Alice was my very favorite PE teacher in Columbia Falls, Montana. Of course we called her Mrs. Pike. When I was in sixth grade I started playing the oboe in band. It wasn't long before she handed me a yellowed folder, labeled "Alice Alexander, Faribault High School, Oboe, Mr. Teisberg." The folder was filled with oboe music, that I am still not good enough to play, some 55 years later! I thought it pretty special that she gave me that music, and even more special, I still have it. I was grateful to see her obituary in the Hungry Horse News, and be able to express my sincere sympathy at her passing. Her memory will certainly live on in my mind as a special teacher and as a fellow oboe player. God's blessings and comfort to her family.
