My heart was sadden over the loss of Joanne to such a tragedy and I wanted to give my warmest condolences to the family. To lose a loved one can bring such overwhelming grief but the God of all comfort tells us at 2 Kings 20:5 He hears our prayers, he sees our tears and he feels our pain. At jw.org we can read in the Bible at John 5:28,29 that not only does God care but it will move him to remove all the suffering he sees and gives assurance that you will have her in your life once again. May all the memories you have give you calm and peace to help you through until God’s promises come true. Again so very sorry for your heartache🌻

Joanne had many folks in her life from the very beginning who were here extended or even chosen family. This photo finds her in some of her favorite colors...tie dye. She is pictured with "Daddy Rich" who was actually her uncle but because everyone all lived in one large house the adults got extra titles. Having only had sons Bud really loved seeing the young ladies growing up nearby. Also in the photo is Joanne's god father Jim. Joanne came to visit us and Bud was here too. She was being kept out of the way and busy by us so that George could finish plans and pull off her surprise 50th birthday party. I never ever told so many fibs in my life in such a short time span. She had no clue. She was so shocked that she turned around and walked back out the door. I think she loved planning those things for other people but didn't necessarily see the need for one on her behalf. She and I were very much alike in that frame of thought. She was a doer. She was kind and snarky all at the same time depending how you were listening to her voice. She would light up a room with her smile. She loved one liners from movies she had seen. She is leaving quite a void in the family and her wider community. The trips to Vermont will bring me some very fond memories in the future. You will probably make my eyes leak and my cheeks hurt from the laughter. Sturbridge Village will get some help from Jim and meI in your memory.

Your Vermont road trip driver,

Janet
