John was an Attorney at Law with his own practice in Manhattan, NY for many years before retiring. He was a voracious reader of all things history, but in particular, WWII and the Civil War. He was a great conversationalist and storyteller, keeper of arcane facts, but mostly a listener who was interested in what you had to say. His grandchildren meant the world to him. He loved to attend their sporting events and spend time regaling them with his stories. He was so proud to be able to attend some of his grandchildrens' college graduations. John also had a soft spot for animals, especially Gizmo and Jerry, the family dogs and the many he had over his life.
Mr. Felton is survived by his loving children; Laura Brooks and her husband Tom of Needham, MA, Brian Felton and his wife Debra of Brewster, NY, Craig Felton and his wife Barbara of Poughkeepsie, NY and Lisa Walsh and her husband Edward of Mahopac, NY, his 8 grandchildren; Tommy & Emily Brooks, Michael & Jessica Felton, Catherine, Elizabeth, Barbara & Gabrielle Felton.
