Obituary

Josephine Pucherelli known by many as Pat, of Brewster, NY, died peacefully at Putnam Ridge Nursing Home of natural causes, on April 13, 2020. She was 91 years old.

Born on May 24, 1928 in the Bronx, NY, daughter of the late Joseph and Antionetta (Saltarelli) Siniscalchi. She graduated from Evander Childs High School in 1946.

On July 19th 1952 she married the love of her life Frank Pucherelli. They moved to Brewster in 1971 where they raised their three children. Frank predeceased his wife on February 24, 1977.

Pat was a legal secretary her whole life retiring with 20 years at The Law Offices of Cutsumpus, Collins, Hannafin in Danbury, CT from which she retired from in 2002. She was a parishioner of St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, Brewster, NY.

Pat was a selfless, extraordinary woman who had a heart of gold and wonderful sense of humor. Her life was her family. She adored her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She enjoyed cooking, traveling to Colorado and spending time on the beach. She will live on in our hearts forever.

Pat is survived by her loving children; Michael Pucherelli (Debbie) and Diane Grasso, her 6 grandchildren Sherri (Alex), Danielle and Dominick Pucherelli and Richard (Jeffrey), Nicholas, and Gina Grasso and 1 great grandchild Ona. She is also survived by her loving sister Evelyn Pica. She was not only predeceased by her husband Frank, but also her son Ricky Pucherelli in 1981, her son-in-law Richard Grasso in 2009 and her brother Dominic Siniscalchi in 2000.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at a later date. Interment at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery will be private. Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster assisted the family with arrangements.

In Lieu of flowers, please consider donations in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.

I always remember lots of laughter, good food, and hugs with my Aunt Pat. I miss her and love her. I pray that she is with our Heavenly Father and all our family who have passed. Our love and prayers to my dear cousins Diane and Mike and their families at this sad time. Love Cathy & Gene Ingram
